I first began the boot camp program
run by Alicia Harrison in the Fall
of 2005. For those who know me, I am
not a “program exerciser”, I have
never been one to join a class,
rather enjoyed the freedom of
working out on my own schedule. But
as I began to experience what age
can do to your body, I found I
needed to change it up a bit.
The Boot camp is a most motivating
environment, it is fun and hard at
the same time, the 45 minutes flies
by so fast, I am amazed by how much
Alicia has pushed me to excel and
test my physical and mental self. I
like to describe it a Junior High
Gym Class for the adults. (Just
think back to bear crawls and frog
hops,,,yep, we are still doing that)
While I have been able to realize
great physical benefits from boot
camp, the bonus is the friendships
that I have gained over the past 3+
years. We are a group in the sense
that we are all together in our
mission,,,,those who begin together
will finish together. We range in
age of 19 to 55+.
I encourage anyone to come out and
try her class, you will enjoy it,
even through the pain, and as my
fellow boot campers can tell you,
Alicia has a bit of a wicked side to
her, so whatever you do, don’t tell
her the class was not hard enough,
you will live to regret it. |

When I first came to Alicia, my exercise routine
consisted solely of tennis once a, maybe twice a
week. As I was approaching the age of 50, my
metabolism was slowing down, my muscle mass was
dwindling, and I was putting on weight. Now, nearly
three years later, I am going to the gym regularly
with a weights routine that Alicia started me on and
participating in Alicia’s boot camp twice a week. I
have lost those “unwanted” pounds and feel better
about myself and my health. Thank you Alicia! |

Alicia was my personal trainer and boot camp
instructor. Her enthusiasm, can-do attitude and
motivation got me through those 5:30am boot camp
classes and personal training sessions for two
years. My body completely changed in which I became
leaner and stronger. Whenever I wanted to give up,
she motivated me to keep me going and for that I am
grateful. I highly recommend her as a personal
trainer and boot camp instructor. I would still be
training with her, but I now live in California .

Alicia has a gift...she inspires you to accomplish
more, then raises the bar when you succeed . The
creative instruction, the fun, and the new
friendships are definitely the bonus! Although, I
swear, her watch has 70 seconds in every 1 minute
drill!
If you are limited in some physical way due to
injury or handicap, Alicia creates an alternative
workout for you so you never feel left out of the
group or less than challenged. I have a spinal
injury to a disc which limits my ability to do high
impact exercise …I have never felt stronger or more
able to challenge myself thanks to Alicia and the
alternative workout program. |

Boot Camp has been a phenomenal way for me to stay
in shape. Even though I know it is important to
exercise I just do not enjoy doing it and your boot
camp has made it fun for me. What is amazing is your
sense to recognize each persons ability and design
your class such that everyone is pushed to our own
individual capacities.
I get full body training with resistance and cardio
mixed in without ever having to think about it, and
the camaraderie is something I look forward to each

You definitely have a very special gift! I like

motivator and you design exercises that are tough

Other than yoga, joining Alicia’s bootcamp is the
best thing I’ve done for myself in years. My stamina
and strength have increased tremendously and my
clothes fit much better. Alicia is great at taking
everyone’s different levels of physical ability and
gearing a work out session that works for one and
all. Those 45 minutes are the longest, hottest, most
grueling and yet fun and invigorating of my week.
Twice a week is simply not enough for me! I highly
recommend ENRG Fitness to all who are looking to add
a challenge to their physical fitness routine. |
